Are there any free online college credit courses that I may take even though I am an enrolled college student? I am attending college right now but I was wondering if there are any free online courses that can transfer over. I'm up for just about any course so I'm not picky. If this is even possible please direct me to a source! please and thanks. |
As far as I know, "free" and "transferable credit" are not compatible. If they are good enough to transfer, they cost money.
There are low-cost options - start with the state-supported institutions in your state. If you can take community college classes, and have them count, they will probably be least expensive.
You might want to talk to your advisor about whether there is anything you can do to pick up some more credits.
There are classes you can look at online, and you can see the assignments, but no one is going to grade them for free. |
What is the best online site for free college level classes/courses? I'm trying to find my "true calling" or better yet what I want to study when I go to college I've been surfing the web and found that there are too many "free online courses" and it is a bit over whelming for me. Any suggestions as to what site I should use. My interests include Math, Creative writing( songs, stories, novels(rarely)), and graphic design(advertising/game art etc) |

How can a guy in high school take college courses online for free? I'm 14 years old, I'm a freshman and I want to start taking college courses now, but I'm not sure how to. After I graduate from high school I will be going to the art institute in Charleston, then I will be going into the Air force for 4 years, and go to college while I'm in the Air force. But, I want to know how I can start taking courses right now online for free. |

Are there free college courses online? Or free anything for extending your schooling?
And what will an associate degree get you for a job? |
There are lots of free college-level courses online. They won't get you any college credit and won't transfer. The paid ones get you certificates and degrees.
An Associate's Degree in some sort of computer-related field will get you $45,000 a year to start. One in Registered Nursing gets you $70,000. |

Free online college courses that don't offer degrees? we had a professor sub for us and he said that there is a website that we can go to to get all the resources colleges use and you can actually take classes online for free. Its the same material you get in school, but you don't pay and you don't get a degree. I would like to know the name of this website(s) if anyone knows. If you don't please lead me to one that offers possible Business Adm. to Law school. Thanks |
MIT has a lot of their coursework online, but like your professor said, you can't earn a degree that way.
